The galleys arrive…

Today the galley copies of Some Way Outa Here arrived. These are actual books that I’ll use to proofread and double-check for errors. Also, a few will go out to reviewers. It’s pretty cool to hold a book in your hand after so much work on a computer.

  1. Congratulations, Mark! You worked hard on this book and were willing to hear all manner of positive and otherwise constructive criticism with patience and appreciation (or so it appeared through email…). I was captivated reviewing a history often painful for me (readers: Mark and I went to the same high school together), hilarious, and painful again. The ’60s were hard times, we were such a binary society then just as we are today in the USA. Readers: Mark was a brave dude in high school, that’s not just a device in his novel. He stood up for himself and his friends and a world he desperately wanted to figure out and help heal from the savagery of the time. From the outside, he looked fearless. And tall and skinny. He also loved to laugh. I’m looking forward to reading the finished product.
